11U Mosquito - 2025/2026 Season - Co-Ed & For players born in 2015 & 2016
Description:
- Base paths are set at 60 feet and pitchers throw from 46 feet.
- 11U (Mosquito) division is a fun transition to learning the skills to play real baseball including pitching, back catcher, hitting a pitched ball, stealing bases and backing up other positions.
- A regular baseball is used at this level.
- Pitch count rules are in effect to protect the young pitcher’s arms from injury.
- The Spring Season runs from early April to mid/late June.
- Assessments are held before the season starts for player placement in the appropriate grouping and to ensure balanced teams.
- Summer Ball will be offered for both 1st and 2nd year 11U players. Players must have been registered in Spring season to be eligible for summer teams.
- Evaluations and selection are conducted in mid June and play during the month of July.
- Full commitment is required/expected by players for Summer Ball.
Equipment Required:
- Baseball glove
- Batting helmet with double ear flaps and a chin strap or C-Flap (chin protector)
- Batting gloves
- Jock or jill
- Molded Cleats
- Bat that follows these guidelines: 32 inch, 2 3/4 inch max diameter, unlimited length/weight drop - Must have "USSSA 1.15 BPF (Bat Performance Factor)" stamp OR "USA" Stamp
- Baseball pants, belt, socks are provided by the association for Spring and Summer Seasons (pants returned at end of season)
- Jersey (provided by the association)
- Hat (provided by the association)
